He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.Ī spheroid doesn't look like a circle from a distance?Īnd he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.įour corners is a common saying referring to the four directions of a compass. He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He named the four quarters of the world, mankind he createdĬhristian, Islamic, and Abrahamic Religions It can be shown that the Flat Earth worldview is consistent with the vast majority of religious texts and worldviews. I am inclined not to trust paleo-magnetic for accurate reconstructions of the earths continental placement in the past.Quote from: TheProgrammer on March 08, 2014, 08:22:09 AM Cross reference the movement of the mediterranean sea.įor this reason ( and a few others ). It is important to note that this newer map of the sea floor is in conflict with some recent paleo-magnetic interpretation of the continental placements. I do believe that the "drift" of the continents relative to each other would be the same regardless if it were on a flat earth or a round earth. This of course has been mapped to the RE model. This in combination with radiometrics allows people gauge the age of the sea floor. As the continents move apart the cracks are filled with lava. The sea floor spreads are cracks in which run along the whole surface of the earth. There is an another important method used to map the "drift" of continents over time. Since the magnetic field of the earth is constantly changing, breaking up and flipping, it certainly cannot be used to prove or disprove a flat earth or even a round earth imo. Making "logical" averages one then decides how the pieces have drifted over time.

At the time a rock cools magnetic direction is trapped. One of the most important tools used to determine the location of continents in the past is Paleo-magnetism. the geography of the continents is matched not only through the shape of the continents but through landmasses, large igneous provinces, orogenies, evolution patterns, climate changes and such. I am not sure if an FE'er would have a definitive solution to the evolution of the continents vs a RE'er.
