The sea floor spreads are cracks in which run along the whole surface of the earth. There is an another important method used to map the "drift" of continents over time. Since the magnetic field of the earth is constantly changing, breaking up and flipping, it certainly cannot be used to prove or disprove a flat earth or even a round earth imo. Making "logical" averages one then decides how the pieces have drifted over time.
At the time a rock cools magnetic direction is trapped. One of the most important tools used to determine the location of continents in the past is Paleo-magnetism. the geography of the continents is matched not only through the shape of the continents but through landmasses, large igneous provinces, orogenies, evolution patterns, climate changes and such. I am not sure if an FE'er would have a definitive solution to the evolution of the continents vs a RE'er.
